Introduction
Near the end of the 20th Century, Canadians in China (CnC) began as an e-mail network for Canadians residing in
parts of China and Canada. By the turn of the century, CnC developed into a global network encompassing Canadians
who have shared interests in China and Canada. The spirit and support by fellow Canadians have made the network a
major success.
To celebrate the development in the new millennium, the Canadians in China Web Team spawned the idea to provide a
visual dimension to the network - The CnC Website, which was launched on July 1st, Canada Day 2000. The website
celebrates accomplishments and events of CnC, continues to provide information and links that Canadians can all
share, as well as promote the Canadian presence in China.
CnC promotes events in China, as well as shed some light on the side that is not often shown or understood in the
public's eye about China. CnC encourages Canadians to write in their experiences in China, share event information,
and comments to the network. Feel free to include your name, alias or simply leave it anonymous. You may see your
name on the next CnC e-mail! Just write to Commentaries/Events/Experiences at cnc@canadiansinchina.com.
